Objetives:

• To report on progress in the implementation of Decision I/6 on human rights defenders in environmental matters.
• To present the results of the First Annual Forum on human rights defenders in environmental issues, held in Quito on November 22-23, 2022, and report on preparations for the Second Annual Forum to be held in 2023.
• To present the progress of the open-ended ad hoc working group on human rights defenders in environmental matters.
• Have a first exchange on the proposed Annotated Index of the Action Plan on human rights defenders on environmental matters prepared by the coordinating countries of the Ad Hoc Working Group.
