The preparatory meeting for the second meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Escazú Agreement (pre-COP) took place virtually on 6 March 2023, between 11.00 am and 1:30 pm Chilean time.

It discussed the issues to be addressed at the extraordinary meeting of the Conference of the Parties, namely the election of the first members of the Committee to Support Implementation and Compliance and other matters of interest to the Parties.

The meeting was open, subject to registration, and was broadcast live.
